Leaving Pai in the morning
Not much to say on this post other than I'm about to move on. Got a plan together to get the 7AM bus out of Pai back to Chaing Mai in the morning. I hope to be at the Indian Embassy before they close at midday. If I make it then I should be able to collect my Indian visa on Thursday at the latest. When I've done that I need to get a Laos visa and possibly a Cambodian one.
The current plan is to bus it to Chang Kong where I will cross the border into Laos. From there I will take a 2 day river trip down the Meekong. Still a bit sketchy on the details but I'll post more when I have it sussed. (Is anybody reading this, is anybody out there?) From Laos I intend to cross into Cambodia and visit Angkor Wat. After that its back to Bangkok for a short time before heading south for sun, sea and sand. It's a bit of a lengthy plan but lets see how it goes.
I've just returned from a bike ride into the hills to catch the sunset. So beautiful to go on a sunset chasing mission and to see the sunset itself. The pictures don't do it justice but who cares ;~).
Who am I?
Well, I'm Andrew Flannery and I work in new media for losource, we make websites and e-commerce systems. I specialise in building modern, accessible, standards complient, usable websites using advanced CMS systems. I particularly enjoy writing jQuery plugins in javascript and Modx snippets in PHP. I'm also fairly interested in the Django python web framework and am getting into the Zend PHP web framework as a result of a recent need to customise Magento.
I'm interested in lots of other things, any of which could end up being covered here. It'll be a work in progress for a long time as I'm usually rather busy doing commercial work. In fact I expact it'll always be a work in progress. Anyway have fun and drop me a line if you fancy ;)
